Well done Angus Leckonby at the National Junior Para Swimming Championships
Angus Leckonby, 16 year old S14 Para Swimmer from Scarborough Swimming Club with his medals from the , National Junior Para Swimming Championships held at The Quays in Southampton last weekend.
The event, organised by the English Federation of Disability Sport in partnership with Swim England is an important qualifying competition in the Para Swimming calendar.
Competing in the 14/16 Year Age Group, Leckonby showed his strength and determination, claiming a Gold medal in the opening event of 100m Freestyle. He continued to be a force to be reckoned with in all his events, earning Silver medals for 100m Breaststroke, 100m Backstroke and 100m Butterfly, with Bronze medals coming from the 200m Individual Medley and 200m Freestyle events.
