SSC Phased Return update 2/10/2020

Updated: Oct 26, 2020

Well done and Thankyou to Everyone involved in this weeks full club return , Swimmers, Coaches, parents, guardians and all our wonderful volunteers working tirelessly behind the scenes.

The Coaches have been very impressed with how quickly all our swimmers have adapted to the new Covid safe sessions, their enthusiasm, cheerful team spirit and how hard they have worked in the water.

All swimmers are now following a coaching plan through to Christmas, written by our Consultant Coach Dave Legge ( who is a former International swimmer and Great Britain Coach ) and based on 5 sessions a week. This program will be adapted by our Coaching Team each session to the swimmers attending, so every swimmer has an opportunity to make their own personal progress.

The club has been hit hard financially with the loss of our three Open Galas this year and the current restricted numbers per session, so we are grateful to all the people who have been in touch with fundraising suggestions and the numerous messages of support from our returning members.

Sarah Harvey and her team are looking forward to welcoming back our development swimmers onto their new Covid safe weekly sessions commencing Sunday ( 4th October ) and would also like to thank everyone involved in supporting this.

Please remember due to the restricted numbers in lanes and need for a track and track register, all swimmers must ONLY attend sessions that are booked with the membership team. Do not attend sessions if you are showing any Covid 19 symptoms. We will continue to adhere to Swim England Covid 19 guidance, to ensure the safety of all our swimmers and Coaches.

Any questions for the Coaches or about any of the sessions, along with any ideas for fundraising or offers of support, can be sent via email to the membership team, to be forwarded to the relevant person.
