Covid-19 and Swimming Clubs - Update 18th March 2020

Following the latest update from Swim England dated March 17th, which states :

“Having further reviewed the guidance, it is Swim England’s interpretation that club activity falls into the ‘public gathering’ category and therefore it is strongly advising clubs to consider cancelling or postponing activity – including events – until the end of May.

Swim schools should also make an informed decision on future lessons based on the current information from the Government.”

For the protection of all our Coaches, Volunteers and Members at Scarborough Swimming Club , The Club will be postponing all Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday training sessions and cancelling all Land training until further notice.

Regarding payments, Membership and Cat fees are for the whole year ( non refundable)

Monthly standing orders to remain the same for now and an update will be posted before 1st April.

The Club is hoping to replace the missed sessions during our usual Summer break along with rescheduling the Spring Gala and entries. However in these uncertain and quickly changing times this is constantly under review. Once the club is back training regularly any refunds due will be credited individually.

If anyone is struggling financially and needs to cancel their S.O. please send a message to the Finance team via :

Thank you for your Understanding and Patience during these difficult times. Stay safe and hope to see you all soon.
